Experience

Now

Paul is an experienced accent and dialect coach and professional voiceover artist. Joining Ashley in 2013, Paul completed a full year-long mentorship and now delivers extremely popular one-to-one online accent reduction courses using Ashley's materials.

Paul's coaching is greatly influenced by Ashley's methodology, along with his own experience as a TEFL teacher, language learner, voiceover artist and theatre skills facilitator. He has coached people from over 40 countries (and counting) and from all walks of life.

Together with Ashley, Paul co-founded English Pronunciation Roadmap, an online learning hub for English pronunciation. Here Paul collaborated with Ashley to create new learning resources & trainings, and regularly delivering live group sessions along with publishing over 100 pronunciation videos on YouTube.

Earlier

Having graduated from the respected BA Drama degree course at the University of East Anglia, he began his career as an actor, director and accent coach for theatre.

Whilst living in South-East Asia, Paul taught English as a second language to business and vocational students - and started to combine his experience and knowledge of voice and speech together with more traditional English phonetics and phonology to start coaching native and non-native speakers in Standard British pronunciation.

General Info

Paul has his own blog about 'all things vocal', where he occasionally publishes new articles that spark his curiosity about accents and the human voice.

Paul grew up in the South East and moved to London after university, where he worked in production for theatre and stand-up comedy, along with leading workshops for arts organisations such as the National Youth Theatre and Bigfoot Arts Education. He is now based in Greater Manchester.
